I agree with you. I love this music and it's the way it's all "spliced" together that's exciting to me. There is so much stuff buried away in the mix that I am always hearing something new.
The sound quality of the DVD-A disc in stereo is so much better than the CD, and although I know most of the songs very well I have never heard then sound like this. Vocals are open and so clear, I can hear the woodenness of Pauls bass and Ringo's Drumming has never been more interesting. The sonic gymnastics are great fun, deep deep bass and those super high whistle things... fun. Even the odd Aussie blow fly in there too.
I hope that EMI have more of these Deluxe packages available. It's about $14.00 at DeepDiscount CD and with the exchange rate quite good at the moment it makes the $40.00AUD price look a bit lame.
This is the disc that makes me finally wonder if this format is better than SACD???
