I was just looking through ebay to see if there were any overlooked deals on dvd-a titles, and I came across a seller offering 192khz and 96khz dvd-a recordings of artists like Stanley Clarke and Chick Corea (both of whom have never officially made it to the dvd-a format). From the FAQs on the auction page, it looks like he's ripping the albums from vinyl, cleaning them up a bit on his computer, and then burning them.Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this (either this seller in particular, or more generally the practice of turning old vinyls into new dvd-a's).
