There are actually two separate questions that might be
asked in this regard. One is much more interesting
than the other.The less interesting question is: will any Blu-Ray
or HD-DVD player play current-density ("Red-Ray")
DVD-Audio discs?A much more interesting question is: will any
Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player (or computer drive,
now or in the future) play DVD-Audio from (or record
DVD-Audio to) the new higher-density discs?**Could** it be done? Sure. **Will** it be
done? Not right away, probably -- not for
technical reasons, but because the RIAA would (no
doubt) scream.
