That's due in large part to the 4.7GB capacity limitation of the DVD side of today's DualDiscs. Remember, that Eric Clapton album is relatively long in total length -- nearly 1 hour. That means that either you have a full 96/24 5.1 multichannel DVD-A track but only a 48/16 PCM stereo track, or you have a full 96/24 stereo track but only a lossy compressed Dolby Digital 5.1 multichannel track. In this case, Warner compromised on this title by having both multichannel and stereo tracks at 48/24.
