Earlier today , Warner released Eric Clapton - Back Home , on DualDisc with DVD-Audio . ( The CD version of Back Home was , also , released today ) .

I'm certain that some people in this forum like DualDisc with DVD-A , and are happy that the format is achieving success . So ...

Joining Eric Clapton , on Back Home , are some fine musicians , including Steve Winwood , Billy Preston , Steve Gadd , and Vince Gill .

The hi-rez audio specs for this DualDisc with DVD-A are : Multichannel 48/24 , and Stereo 48/24 .

Back Home has a very good discrete multichannel mix . Eric's lead vocals are up front , and the band is spread out over the 5 channels . The multichannel highlight is the song " Revolution " .

Also , on this DualDisc is a 19+ minute video , in 5.1 Dolby Digital , that is a combination of performances and interview .

BTW , there's no stealth marketing for this DualDisc . There's a large DualDisc sticker on the front cover . Another sticker on the front cover says " Two-sided DualDisc ... DVD side features full album in 5.1 Surround Sound , and in High Resolution Stereo " . Printed on the back cover is the description : " DVD Side : Full album in 5.1 Advanced Resolution Surround Sound , Full album in Advanced Resolution Stereo " . Also printed on the back cover are the DualDisc CD/DVD-Audio , Advanced Resolution , and DVD-Audio logos .

It's good to see that Warner has made the effort to release the brand new album by Eric Clapton , one of Warner's big stars , on DualDisc with DVD-A .
