Running the DVD S97 via coax to the XR45 indicates a 192K input as you stated with "I Robot". In fact with standard red book it indicated 176.4Khz for 4 times over sampleing via coax to the XR45. I hate to say it but I prefer SACD hybrids in the S97 on RB vs. Pioneer 563 via analog on SACD.Just yesterday I setup the XR70 with the S97 via HDMI and ran the Dobbies "Captin and I" and the XR70 indicated 96K. The sound was a good step above the XR45 with pioneer 563 via analog inputs. Much more three D. For under 550.00 the XR70\S97 compo is one heck of a deal!!! The digital inputs give this combo a huge edge over all analog.
Make sure you have the eprom upgrade for the s97 for video fixes.
