Lest I make any Ethnic Group Libels.
My great-grandfather left behind what I can only surmise was an unhappy family situation in Germany, in 1878. My grandfather was born in 1901.
I don't know how frequent such occurrences were, but my German great-grandfather married an Irish girl, and they agreed to speak English at home, and nothing else.
So, more than 60 years ago, I asked my grandfather to speak German for me, and he silently dug in his pocket, extracted a silver quarter-dollar coin, handed it to me, and told me to find some place to play.
His spirit lived on at CES 2005, it seems!
