Re: To debate or not to debate - that is the question

I was not criticizing your policy and I believe you would be fair in any situation. For me, when I'm emailing back and forth, I don't want the other party, especially audio industry people, walking on eggshells and weighing every word for fear something he says casually might be published. In a couple of cases, even when a conversation or email is stated as being "on the record" and someone has said something that could be taken 2 ways, I ask them if that is what they meant to say. It's more a style issue than anything else, I think.
