Buy from SOTA directly or use their specs and pricing as a reference for shopping elsewhere...
The current owner of SOTA, Cristan Griego has really tried to open up some of the mystery of what's inside a SOTA turntable. He has a few videos on You Tube about how to disassemble older vacuum and non vacuum models. I'm thinking about doing a spring replacement on my 16 year old Star vacuum. I think they sell a spring kit per model. The former owner Donna Bodinet was willing to look up serial numbers or purchase dates for you. I think Cristan is always swamped with emails and it may take a short while to get an answer.
