I'm 76, but I never got into streaming because vinyl sounds so much better to me than PCM digital. Then I discovered DSD128 and DSD256. I now own a digital player with two 5-TB USB hard drives connected directly -- no computer needed. Those two drives contain all my digital rips in addition to more than 500 DSD256 albums. The DSD256 albums sound even better than vinyl and all 500 of them are playable with a tap of the touch-screen display. There's no need to sacrifice sound quality for convenience when you have a DSD256 player. Moreover, my DSD256 player cost only $1,500, which is considerably less than my $15,000 turntable that I recently sold for $5,000 because it was 20-years old.
Happy listening!

And you sold your TT John, wow.
Your knowledge & contribution to this forum has been exceptional.
I thank you, because you have helped me out many times.
All the best, enjoy the wonderful world of music regardless of medium used.
John, you sold the table? You had that baby tricked-out to the nth degree and I'll bet it sounded every bit as good as it looked. Still, I can understand your reasoning, and I hope it went to someone who will treasure it as it so richly deserves.
Yes, I sold the SOTA Millennia Vacuum with its new 3-phase synchronous motor and tachometer speed control. I have no idea who bought it. I gave it to an audio buddy and told him all I wanted was $5,000 and he could keep any additional he was able to get for it. I don't know what he sold it for, but I was happy to get $5,000 for the table and arm -- no cartridge.
