...first was Billie Eilish "Hit Me Hard and Soft" then The Cure's new album "Songs Of A Lost World" and the 20th anniversary version of the first Nouvelle Vague album. Of course they sound fine.
Thoughts?
Nice to know vinyl records will be around when we run out of oil in about 47 years.

Follow Ups:
Unfortunately, the only "green" thing about it is the Bio-mass feed stock used to create the polymer, but it doesn't solve the environmental and health and safety issues around processing PVC itself. Although an outright ban is unlikely, at least in the short to medium term, it is likely that polymer manufacturers will reduce production and this will drive up the raw material costs. So I think we need to get used to the idea that alternative materials may be the best way forward.
The rPET based records are a better approach to sustainability; reducing the carbon emissions quite substantially in both raw material production and the energy used to form the discs compared to standard PVC based stamping processes which require energy to heat and cool with the variation in temperature resulting in higher energy consumption per disc produced. Unfortunately the injection moulding process hasn't solved my two big issues with standard records which is perfect centering and flat discs. They do have a quieter noise floor though and the nicely rounded edges and flat profile to give a sonic boost from the record(s) I have tested so far. Also the rounded, smooth edges should reduce seam splits and damage to the inner sleeves.
No data on wear tolerance of rPET vs PVC is available, but from looking at the basic material properties in terms of hardness, they should be similar.

"reducing the carbon emissions"
LOL! Lets get rid of vinyl to save the world so world "leaders" can jet to these greenie cult meetings:

I think I'm gonna idle my diesel tractor all night tonight in protest!
Psst: They're making them out of Soylent Green.....
Groan.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

Where's my rubber duckie.
That Billie Eilish pressing is first class.
So is the Cure pressing . Too bad the music on the Cure LP doesn't measure up.
