Took a look in the LP bin at my local thrift store not expecting to find much. To my suprise I found six titles to take home. Glen Campbell Galvestan, Linda Rondstadt Living in the USA, Chuck Mangione Feels So Good, a couple Sinatras and a Henry Mancini. All together a little over six bucks. So far I've cleaned the Campbell, Ronstadt and Mangione. They all play pretty good but Feels So Good is stellar! Almost dead quiet and the mix is as good as anything I have, new and old. Considering how much I've overpaid for decent vinyl it feels so good to get such quality for a dollar!

...quality for a dollar" I do have to agree on that. I recently got a set of Tchaikovsky's Six Symphonies (London CSP 10) for less than a dollar a disc; the total was around $8.00 but that included another item ($5.00 sticker on it) so I have no idea what I really paid for the six-record set. Note that none of the discs appears to never have been spun!

...Szell and the Cleveland, reissue of the Epic set, but on the Masterworks label.
Fifty cents. Like yours, none of the discs were played.
And maybe I shouldn't say this but I have two copies of the Mangione album, got them both for free, still feel like I overpaid.
Heh.

...just not my style of music.

I have bought some very good used classical LPs for as little as 25 cents each. Of course that was in 1965.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
It's closed now but last time I was in that area, the warehouse in Rockville was still open and still sold used LPs.
All of the classical LPs were fifty cents each, even if it was a box set.
Picked up a couple of Ian Hunter albums, they were a buck each.
Second Story Books. It's still open, in downtown DC and Rockville MD.
