Harman Kardon also made a number of stereo receivers based on this format. AM in one channel - FM in the other. I wonder how many eBay buyers have been fooled into thinking they were bidding on a stereo MPX receiver, when in fact the unit was only mono in today's world.

Case in point :)

This Heathkit has a built in (and functional) MPX decoder, but also could be used for AM-FM simulcast stereo.

all the best,

A number of companies offered receivers with separate tuners. I don't recall any offering simulcast output plus FM MPX, unless it was a model with the MPX offered as an option. HK did that for a short time.
The Fisher 800B had AM, FM, AM-FM stereo, and FM MPX, all in one large and very heavy unit. The linked page has a nice writeup on this behemoth as well as a good synopsis of the broadcast standards uncertainty that begat such a chimeric paradox.
I have had an 800B for a long time. I like its ability to tune and play AM very nicely, if one is lucky enough to find a good AM station to play. I have used it most often to listen to sports broadcasts, since they seem to be easier to find on AM.
It still has the ability to play AM and FM simultaneously, of course, which, while an amusing novelty, usually yields the most cacophonous caterwauling combinations one can imagine. I'm reminded of "Jazz Plus Jazz Equals Jazz" on Parks and Recreation.
It's upstairs in my hifi nook.
all the best,

Nothing in the documentation or the description of the AJ-41 indicates that it's capable of simulcast. The Stereo position on the Mode selector is FM MPX only.
