I have a great deal of respect for people who restore older things like this and cars, so kudos to you for doing it. Just because a thing is the newest and latest doesn't make it any better, and sometimes a lot worse.
I had to drop off my wife's car, a 2018 Dodge, as the service light came on and of course all the fluids were good so I couldn't tell shit about what the problem was and neither could Auto Zone thru the OBD port.
What an entirely stupid bunch of crap the car industry is now. It makes me very glad to have a restored '72 car that is simple perfection in comparison.
I like classic with a modern twist
congrats man ... those are pretty sweet ... I heard several different Pioneer models that were shipped home in the 'Nam era because they were so cheaply had through the overseas PX's, and with serviceman's shipping discounts they were a steal of a deal
what are the speakers it's paired with?
with regards,
I had hooked up my Studio Standard Fisher STE C5'S To my understanding Fisher's absolute TOTL when they were being sold. (ca. 1980)
The woofer cones are a two-layer composite porous metal.
The STEC5 was the smallest model of 3 different models. 8" carbon/metal cone woofer, 1 1/4" aluminum hard dome tweeter. 50 Hz - 20 kHz. 6 ohm impedance. 91 dB SPL.
Genuine bubinga veneer & are 18 3/4 lbs each.
outstanding! throw on some REO Speedwagon and ... I dunno, Pat Benatar?
yeah ... Brass In Pocket! they were both charting about then
there were two girls I knew from the pottery workshop that used to ...
never mind, I feel like Lummy all of a sudden ... rock on
regards!
