why they never made amplification is still obscure to me

that's one of the best pix set of hi-fi by the sea ever

cost as much as a car? .. maybe a speedboat?

but for some reason early in the game when it was still James B Lansing, they stopped.

I have an old SS transformer output coupled amp in mono for the outdoor subwoofer. It's still alive and well after almost 60 years. I believe there are some later models, I saw one used for sale here a year or so ago.
