For anyone still tweaking their own PC's, I replaced the stock Dell CPU cooler with a $35 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini on a i7-10700.This is a shorter 120mm cooler where the fan sits lower than the bottom of the fin stacks which helps cooling the DRAM and VRM in addition to the CPU.
The PC is quieter and temps have dropped.
Idle temps have dropped @ 8-10 degrees and load temps have dropped more that that over the stock Dell cooler.

It seems that lack of reply here is due to off topic at first sight. But it's actually relevant as far as PC audio goes. Not just for typical "less audible fan noise," but cooler CPU means less processing "stress" and therefore better performance and better signal quality.
And I believe something can be added to this topic: Boron Nitride
Preferably to be used on heat sinks which are "naked metal," which can improve heat dissipation via increase surface area.
Some already used spraying/coating on whole system, but you need to get right type of BN spray, the ones that "coats," not "powdered" ones that used for forgery:

(Whilst written in Chinese, but pictures would obviously do)
Later part of that thread claimed working well for years. I did similar thing on other stuff but applied much thinner since there's no proper information on "optimized thickness," and overcoating may result in obstacle for dissipation.
And of course be careful not to spray on any electric contact, as Boron Nitride is highly effective insulator, nor CPU/fan contacting surface!
Some of BN's other great properties include static proof, dust proof and moisture proof, which foundamentally solves some biggest electrical headache. I used it on some boards in my TV and works well so far. But audio-wise I'm not certain how its dielectric property will effect audio component it sprayed on.

Many have gone the SBC route (RPis) so their cooling solutions are different.
This one is for my wife's office machine which also drives her office sound system.
A quieter noise floor is worthwhile for both audio and office.
