I'm go back again and review it, but that 4 inches was telling. He didn't mention Tantalum resistors though and I wonder why but probably because their effect is most noticeable with tube amps and much higher voltages.

As an RF engineer, that doesn't surprise me at all. However in a residential setting this is rare.
Some audiophiles automatically think harmful noise interference is abundant everywhere. It's not that simple. The question is if the EMI and RFI present are influencing a base band audio signal in your system.
Most of the time it's not an issue though not impossible.
In the second presentation, he mentioned he was using insulated BNC connectors that were not grounded to the Faraday cage. Once grounded, the problem went away.
