Hi all,
As I posted earlier on as it relates to isolation footers and such to be used underneath my Aurender server | I've ended up with three options, as well as disc couplers to be used under my Denafrips Pontus ll DAC, all told I've remained truer to the cause as someone whom is always looking at means of isolation or decoupling each component from its surroundings | as every item in our system resonates even if we aren't aware of it..., it seems cables are another weakness of mine | yet admittedly I've been very fortunate to have discovered very very very musically balanced IC's | SCs | Power Cords costing well under $400, which have replaced in my case ones I've owned ranging from $500-$2.750 | with stops in between.
All this to say, other than continuing to research said cabling options, it appears my quest has reached its zenith | personally I couldn't be happier, as all to often in our shared hobby while buying into the concept of the flavor of the month mindset, we often move onto items which in hindsight sometimes are merely lateral or backwards moves from the items we wrote off, instead of trying to build our systems based upon synergy, you know, like when each component plays well with those around them, in my mind once one has selected their electronics carefully based upon actual hearing them, as opposed to some fake ass rating system, regardless of what some reviewers would've use believe..., I based said written words upon reality, if they claimed said this or that component was the best thing since sliced bread, yet looking closely at the content of their own systems, if said piece isn't in it, then it reads to me like something smells like BS, guys like Art Dudley and Herb were the only ones I saw as if they loved a piece of gear | they purchased it, end of story..., sidetracked as usual, but a reality none the less.
Happy listening to you all, I'm glad to say I'm off the wagon once and for all.
Follow Ups:
Totally agree with about Art Dudley all the way to his far too early demise. I used to have Herb in the same boat but lately his reviews read like he's working as a sales rep for the gear he's reviewing. Congratulations on your exit from the audio "merry go round." I was able to do the same thing a few months ago. Happy listening, Will
Thanks Will,
In regards to Herb's earlier passion towards the Audio Note UK stuff he used to distribute back in the day, I'm referring too | yet his continued passion for most thing LS 5/A seemingly has stayed intact for years.
It was upon a few ex-friends of mine venturing over to Don Better Audio in Cleveland Heights, upon hearing Shindo Labs, it reinforced my long term belief that Art did in fact have an ear | seeing these items constantly listed in his system, were even more reassuring | as I've come to believe it's the best sounding tube gear I've heard to date, whereas a lot of modern tube designs can come across as a tad bit more akin to solid state, with the exception being Decware, and while I haven't heard it all | when it comes to tube designs, I'm willing to more often than not focus on Japanese built items.
Happier Listening to you as well.

I spent a lot of time in the past with footers and such. Like many cables, I found they did more damage than good. Yes, sometimes things were a lot cleaner, but frequently at the price of changes in tonal balance and/or perspective. Eventually, I settled on using Symposium Platforms on top of the original (with air bladders) Seismic Sinks. This combination works well with everything I've tried on it, and have been using them for 20+ years now.
Jack
Thanks for chiming in Jack G,
As my intention were to merely share this brand, or option for said devices with others..., as the company claimed more than 20.000 sets were sold, yet obviously not stateside. As an admitted hoarder of items like isolation footers | cables, which I'm always on the lookout for new items, yet rarely come across something that makes me stop and say " this is an endgame product for me ", in which case I merely feel is more than worthy of others attention | hence my post, which wasn't meant to state " I " this or that, in so much as an attempt to share.
" I've " also experienced said Symposium Acoustics ball bearing system | platforms and have loved them since discovering them back in 2008, where I still use several customed sized Svelte shelves in our bedroom system.
As it's usual for me of late to end my post with the sayings of be well | stay safe..., and once again thanks for sharing your views, as it's all in my mind worth speaking on.
You means as my saying " I've owned my share?", is that the wrong way to word it?.
No biggie, I'll figure it out on my own, as it should be.
Wow..., it's weird just how slow post have seem to have gotten around here | I've to wonder if any of you've even even tired said brand of isolation base | insulators?, and while I've owned my share starting with the usual Tip Toes | J.A. Michell | Audio Points | Mapleshade | IsoClear | Symposium Acoustics | MSA | Ingress Engineering | Yamamoto Sound Craft | Shun Mook types of footers in my past..., these offer several options of insulators like Smoky Quartz | Black Diamond | Stainless Steel | Carbon Fiber which means " to me " tailoring or voicing one's system becomes that much easier.
As far as I've been concerned for years, imports from the likes of Germany | Japanese | Taiwan | Poland seemingly have established a market for creativity with said items | yet many other then the guys over on What's Best Forum seem to be aware of said items | as the world has become more and more global, one would think that even those older cats whom are set in their ways, would at some point be more open to explore the unknown...-, instead of claiming most of this stuff is snake oil, yet these same guys more often than not, are the same ones whom proudly show off the vintage 1070s stereo systems, as if times haven't changed?.
So be it..., stick to the conventional ways of thinking it ends with buying the gear | placing it atop some old ass stereo rack stuck between your speakers | not understanding why most of the Asian culture always placed their gear as close as possible to the floor, I'm one that has welcomed more outside the box thinking | to me diversity is good.
I have to agree with Jon L here. I've also read your posts several times, and don't have a clue what specific product you are talking about or recommending.
Fair enough | I was referring to the Oyaide INS-BS ( bases ) | INS-CFX ( hybrid carbon fiber ) insulators, as I noticed yesterday there were quite a few articles here based upon others having used quartz type stones placed atop or inside the chassis of selected components | as well as placed on rca input jacks | binding post and so on.
Yet as with most things as they relate to audio, one has to go to the source of origin on any given design..., having written the actual company and having not heard from them | I then resorted to asking what's what?, on various Asian forums in hopes of seeing if anyone else has used said devices?, and if in fact they've had a chance to compare the different types of insulators, like the ones called Smokey Quartz | Black Diamond?, which are the only other 2 options ( as the stainless steel versions aren't needed in said case ) I'm considering pursuing | yet I was basically looking for more clarification on what their particular sonic signature might be beforehand, as I'd rather buy one or the other..., yet it appears I've penny up and buy both.
Of late..., I only feel the desire to inquire about things I'm uncertain about | otherwise I'm well aware that being resourceful has its moments, where one merely needs to look further into any given item of interest | based upon said research, simply go on what their gut instincts predict, and just go for it.

I really wasn't sure if you were making a statement or asking us a question. Using "|" so much in your writing also does not help.
That said, it seems like you have tried quite a few isolation products, so I wouldn't mind reading about specific product models you found to enhance sound quality and perhaps other models that did not work out so well?
Jon L,
As " I " have written you quite a few times on the matter of using different types of platings on each end of power cords, without any sort of response whatsoever, dude I'm just not in the mood for explaining anything to " you ", so let's agree to let this one stand, shall " we? ".
I'm talking about "|" as seen below.
