No, reversed in your description. Triangle points to the cathode on a diode symbol.

Thanks! I thought the description was wrong too. Photo may be wrong as well, but hard to tell.

Your post picture is wrong. Story has it right.
No, his post diagram and picture are correct. Only his description of anode and cathode was wrong.
Dave.

Here's a pic "summary" of what I "originally" based my description on, with diode cathodes going to the negative DC point on the PCB. Includes the pic of soldered in diodes I picked up from the mod site, a diode and a diagram. Something seemed wrong to me originally (likely me?), so I wanted to double check on the Asylum.
Thanks for still helping out.
I think I can also double check the original bridge rectifiers for direction before I replace them.
Cheers!

It seems like maybe you're still confused on cathode and anode.
On the diode, the end with the black band is the cathode.
So, your (superimposed) diode photo and schematic symbol are opposite of each other.
Dave.
I thought the silver body was the colored cathode band!
Cheers!

Looking forward to a report about your findings on the sonic improvements, if you choose to post one, Jonesy.

Will do. Thanks for your interest Duster.
Cheers!
