I didn't think so but yes it can :-)
I recently installed a cryo'd/cooked R1 in position/outlet #1 in my Platinum Power PP-1 AC line balancer, which daisy chains the outlets after the balancing transformer, and was taken aback with the sheer musicality the R1 had over the SWO-GX that it replaced.
The cumulative effect the R1 has had on the whole system has been.....well revelatory and one which I thought could not be improved upon.........................until now :-)
As most everyone has read/knows, the strongest attribute the R1 has is in the bass department with an agility and solidity that is heretofore not been achieved with other outlets. Not to mention a very sweet high end mixed with solid/natural instrument delineation.
On a whim today, I attached a GS Acoustic Disc to the upper side of the R1 and sat back for a listen. First up was Paul McCartney "Live and let die" and to say that the soundstage had "exploded open" is being reserved!!!! Holy shit man, I could not believe what was emanating from my system!!
I have heard/read about precise instrument reproduction on the soundstage with regards to X and Y axis' and thought I had captured that in spades but I have yet to get such a vivid Z axis representation as well. Along with the solidity the stock R1 offers is a true 3D solidity that has me at a loss for words at the moment.
Next up was INXS "Original Sin" that has got one of THE best drum kit recordings I have heard and the impact this recording imparts has to be heard to be believed :-)
I have to conjecture that what I am hearing is that the noise floor of the already excellent R1 has been significantly dropped with the addition of the acoustic disc and this leads me to believe that harmonic resonances in the outlet itself is causing a great deal of harmonic homogenation of the AC signal resulting in a "blurred" signal at the amplification end. Thoughts/comments are welcome as to my conjecture.
All I know at this time is I like what I am hearing and will continue to explore this avenue of "tweaking"

Follow Ups:
Kenster,
I agree it is all about avoiding resonances. I'm using on Oyaide strip with XXX oulets. Putting that strip on a sra platform improved the sound greatly.
Duomike
I presently use the IsoClean power strip but imagine this will be surpassed greatly given my other experiences with Accoustic Revive stuff.
....this should work.
a
....of the RTP-6, which currently features SWO-DX's (rhodium-over-silver plating).
hi norm
do get one of the DSIXs in, with accompanying power supply (DPS-1). i'll have a review on dagogo.com soon enough, but suffice it to say it transformed the esoteric separates at meine's.
couldn't believe it, but its plainly obvious. what a remarkable cable.
best

Kenster...Off imediate topic but do you use stock pc with Plat.Power?
"Off imediate topic but do you use stock pc with Plat.Power?"
Yes I use the stock PC but have installed an Oyaide P-004 AC male plug on the end.
It is captive on the chassis end and I have toyed with upgrading the cord itself to maybe the CryoMax or one of the VH Audio DIY cords.

Kenster;;If I could continue to pester with "off topic" item; I too use the Plat Power un-altered and have pondered that captive cable..If a tweaker like you have left it intact guess I'll wait till I read/hear you've torn into it...Does your unit have a substantial hum? Have you not been swayed by the Shunyata stuff?? late
"Does your unit have a substantial hum?"
Yes but the hum is "normal" to all balanced power transformers. I have a CinePro Powerpro 10 balanced transformer in another system and it hums worse that the PP-1 yet it provides half the output capacity of the PP-1.
The hum, in either case, is not intrusive on the listening environment though.
"Have you not been swayed by the Shunyata stuff??"
Truth be told, I have not heard the Shunyata stuff as I have been a convert to the benefits of balanced power for a number of years now although I have been tempted to take a Hydra 8 home for a test drive on a few occasions to see what all the "excitement" is about :-)
The best upgrade U can do to the PP-1 is to cut off the molded AC male plug and install an Oyaide, preferably the P-004, as well as upgrade the outlet that feeds the PP-1 to an Oyaide as well. The ROI here is well worth it and replacing the molded plug will not void your warranty as per Frank Klink.
Another small but worthwhile tweak is to remove the front panel LED as this seems to impart a slight haze over the music. It is a screw in type and is easily removed from the front panel. It can also be reinstalled just as easily as well.
I also highly recommend installing a TeknSonics C-10 vibration absorber to the chassis to reduce chassis vibrations from the transformer.
There are other tweaks one can do as well but these are inside the chassis.

1) Where is the "upper side" of outlets?
2) Is there some danger here from the metal?
3) Would this work with the quarters tweak, do you think?
"1) Where is the "upper side" of outlets?"
Looking at the rear of the outlet, the disc is placed on the right side above the side screw as that was the easiest place to attach the disc along the crowded rear panel. I could have mounted it on the rear back strap I guess but I wanted an intimate contact with the body.
"2) Is there some danger here from the metal?"
None that I can see in my situation but one must make an assessment of their own configuration to ensure that no electrical contact with the disc could happen. In the PP-1, there is no bare metal exposed in the wiring with the exception of the wire lugs at the main Earth GND terminal bolt. The mains input filter has lugs exposed but these are 4" inches away from the disc. The PP-1 is built with plenty of real estate inside.
"3) Would this work with the quarters tweak, do you think?"
I would not try a side mount with the quarters unless it could be assured that the stack would remain attached but mounting them on the top of the outlet could be feasible. I was able to get a good DIY replica of the discs with quarters so U could get a good taste of what the discs provide with quarters I believe.
I don't have any concern of the discs falling off as the attaching interface of the discs sticks with great tenacity and it takes some real effort to remove a disc once applied. Also, if in the highly unlikely event that it did become detached, it would just fall to the bottom panel.

I am going to mount one on the back of mine when I move into my new space. Alan Maher recommended this. Also, I have heard some people use a strip of ERS on the back of the outlet as well.
There are lots of tweaks that have some sonic impact, but may also carry some electrical risks. Conductive materials, materials that are flammable, or materials that crowd the outlet so as to unnaturally increase their temperature when they're working - any and all of these carry risks.
ERS cloth may have some conductive potential (nickel and carbon fiber) and some flammability. I'm not sure, but you should be before you place that in the outlet!
