It's actually for a headphone amp, and the plan is really to use it for the mains side of PSU wiring (from IEC to transformer), as I prefer the idea of using solid core wire than stranded (being less flexible, it tends to stay where you put it !).
The wire I plan on using would be somewhere between 13 and 14 AWG, but being on the RS site, can't link directly (by following the menus : Electrical, Cable, Test Equipment » Cables and Connectors» Cables / Wires & Accessories » Switchgear Cables BS6231 » Switchgear Cable BS6231 » Rigid Solid Conductor - Type BU).

Yeah why do you need such heavy wire for milliwatt signals?
Go thinner and get a better quality wire from someone like Cardas.
The plan is to use the wire on the mains side of the PSU (in Aus it's 240V).
It won't be used for signal wire, nor PSU wire, only for anything that'll be at 240V potential.
