Hi everybody,I am quite new to changing caps inside my amps, but from what results I have got so far it's certainly been worth doing.
Now I have come across a cap inside my amp that reads: 250V (clear what that means) and below: 1 05J .
A friend of mine translates this into 1uF - is he right?
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated - thanks.

Well, the 105 is the value in picofarads where 1st two digits are significant digits & 3rd digit represents the number of zeros to follow. So, 105 = 1,000,000pF = 1uF. The alphabetical letter designates tolerance in value with F = 1%, J = 5%, K = 10%.
.
Hello Wolfram
105J = 1.0µF.
