I'll certainly bow to those of you with far far more experience on the high end stuff than I have.

At this point I have one Oyaide SWO-XXX and I do find that the CAIG ProGold did nothing to hurt it whatsover. My purpose is more the cleaning and protection it's supposed to provide, rather than the contact enhancement aspect of this product.

However, this very concern is why I've hesitated to add any of the Silclear that I often find does help electrical connectivity on other pieces of my gear. Sounds as though it might in fact interfere with the plating and polishing done to a high degree on the Oyaides.

I'd be very interested to hear what some other who HAVE tried it say...

...which were polished by Andy Bouwman of Vintage Tube Services. The results with QS GOLD were much better than Andy's tubes alone. Don't know if any of this is applicable to the question of the hour.

    Of course, I did have my amp manufacturers blessing up front, plus a report from QuickSilver GOLD creator, Brian Kyle, that he had never experienced any difficulties with his tube pins to go on. Brian had gone over 1 year with his pasted before I tried it on mine.

  I've seen several tube pieces which needed a thorough flushing out of the sockets because the contact enhancers had spread with heat and started arcing. I would strongly advise against using any contact enhancer on tube gear, particularly on power tubes.

    I was very cautious when applying. The results were stunning, okay, just simply fabulous.
    
    I've heard of the product Tweek being quite problematic in tube sockets.
    
    Did you happen to get my email on uses for 3M tube dampers? I am looking for suggestions for their use. I don't want to use them on tubes as I'm already happy with my Herbies HAL-O dampers.
