Dammit Kenster, what are your impressions so far? :-)
Is it replacing a P-079?
What cable have you put it on?
Which component is it connecting?

.............of the P-004/R1/WPC-Z combo.
The most noticable attribute is the bottom end which has been transformed into a musical dynamite machine complete with slam and depth. My system has WAY more PRaT now with bass lines/kick drums having substantially improved impact and agility :-)
The soundstage is not only better defined but is set against a very solid/black/still background which of course, lends itself to a better defined/holistic musical presentation. Soundstage 3-D illusions are more pronounced with the center phantom image taking on a very solid/precise character.
The P-004 replaced a P-079 which feeds power from the wall/R1/WPC-Z to my AC line balancer which powers the whole system. I put it on the existing 10 gauge power cord that is directly connected to the input line filter on the Balanced Power unit.
If U have an R1 outlet, I highly recommend a P-004 AC male plug to mate with it :-)
Cheers,
~kenster
Hi kenster... thanks for putting rubber to the road & doing the pioneering this time 'round ;-) I found that going from 079's to 046's mated with the R1 was a very good thing, indeed, & figured the 004's would either slay-all or simply take a good thing (an excellent thing) too far... I'm more than glad you found the former to be true (so I took the plunge). I can't wait to fire 'em up. I'll also post my findings after ample burn-in time has passed... Cheers, Duster :-D
