anyone have a fast / convenient way to burn in a few caps ...?
I have heard of using a tuner to do this ...?
thanks
Follow Ups:
Switch output to speakers A. Tune receiver to your favorite station and turn loudness up so that it is quite loud. Connect the cap in series with 8 Ohm 20 W resistor to receiver output B. Switch output to speakers B. Let it work round the clock for several days (teflon capacitors may take longer). Resistor may get quite hot, so place it appropriately. Several caps can be burned together by connecting them in parallel.
thanks ...I don't have a receiver at hand just now ....would the output from tuner do anything at all as there would not be the option of increasing volume ....if no other way I can try to borrow someones old receiver
Buy yourself a cheap old transistor receiver at a thrift store specially for this purpose.
