Does anyone have any experience with XICON carbon film resistors that Mouser sells in tube amps ?????
R
In reply to your inquiry about Riken Carbon resistors... they have no magnetic or ferrous parts in them. They have high quality end caps and gold-plated OFC copper leads. I used them in my ARC Classic 60 and the sound is superb - warm, musical with excellent detail. Only problem is that I have heard that they are no longer being produced (what a shame)! So, I would get my hands on them ASAP. The best source for them that I have found (with the largest inventory) is www.soundconnexions.com in Canada). You won't regret your purchase of these superb resistors.
Copperweld (steel) leads, avoid.
Do the Riken Carbon films contain steel? Any negatives?
Any opinions on these?
