I have one of these HD Tuners in my system so I can listen to classical music. I have to say that it sounds OK overall. It's not perfect, but these days you can't find much Classical Radio on the standard FM band in a lot of cities. My question is this: I have the Sangean feeding my Mark Levinson 360S DAC via the SPDIF connection. The DAC indicates a 48K stream.
Does anyone know anything more about that stream? Is this 24/48? The ML just tells me 48K and that it's internally up-sampling that signal to 24/384.
From what I have read about HD Radio, it seems that the transmitting stations have a lot of control over bit depth and compression.
Thanks... HEO
All the best... HEO.

HighEndOne, Brian Beezley, K6STI, didn't review Sangean's HDT-20, but his HDT-1X review mentioned a measured SPDIF rate of 44,100 16-bit samples per second. Hope that helps. 73s-n-Happy Holidays para Sactown
