The way it's was supposed to be and the result was a more quiet back ground to the point of rivaling CD format.
My new Antenna is an Archer that has 10 elements that along with my Mac MR80 and with my Latino VTA-120 back in my FM system sounds just awesome! The antenna was given to me by fellow Asylum member M3 Lover, Thank You again Tim! This was the final piece that I needed to get my FM setup where I always dreamed to have. Even my wife thought it was the CD playing the other day.
I now get stations from LA I could never get. I'm sure if I raised the antenna about 10' higher I would get even better sounding reception.
So the antenna is huge part to quality FM reception and sound.

I'm very glad it worked out so well for you Steve.
For those who may wonder, what would you estimate to be the distance to the furtherest station where you now receive a clear signal?
