Could any one tell me if the vintage TungSol 5881 tubes would be compatible with the Audio Note P2SE amplifier? A potential buyer the Audio Note amplifier wants to buy a quad of these tubes from me. She uses the stock Russian 6L6GC tubes in P2SE amplifier but I know that they differ from TungSol 5881 tubes.
The pic of the TS JAN-CTL-6L6WGB/5881 tube is attached.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

When I had an Audio Note P2SE amplifier I used a variety of 6L6 types. It came installed with the Sovtek 5881 tubes, but I preferred the new rebranded TS 5881 tubes. The original vintage TS 5881 tubes should be a fine choice.
The buyer who eventually purchased these tubes from me is very happy with their sonic signature. And yes, they proved compatible with the P2SE amplifier.
The 5881 is listed in the manual.

"Still Working the Problem"
"18 Watts RMS" and "6L6/5881" - these two data points indicate even a standard 6L6 or 6L6GB will work. U.S. made 5881s with their higher dissipation rating will be loafing in that amplifier.
There should be no problems using the 5881 tubes, it should be quite an improvement.
Thank you, I sold the tubes. The buyer says they sound fantastic with the P2SE amplifier.
