Finding NOS tubes are difficult these days, particularly matched pairs. eBay might be the only option and you might need to buy more than you need to pair up some matched tubes.You might consider 6L6GCs as well. The difference is that the GCs will take more voltage and can go up to 30 watts.
I bought a lot of tubes from Byrd69 on the Trader here including some RCA Black Plate 6L6GCs for quite reasonable prices. He's got 5U4s and some 6L6GAs as well.

Rod the amps circuitry was specificall designed for the 6L6GA and I don't have an option there in terms of Cs. Plus hearing them... their sound quality doesn't compare to the A's.
I know Brendan at TubeWorld said they were really tough to come by as you said. Byrd69 contacted me....he doesn't have match 6LGA's but I'm going to look at what he has in the RCA Black Plates.
Thanks for the response. I'm getting a sense of what I'm up against, but in swapping out over the last 18 years... I may have some old stock that will work well. Just need to get what I have tested.
