Thanks for your take and the link. I've seen the Ei tube pictured in your link but my tubes look different. So I was concerned that the specs would not be the same. Do you think that I have a different version of the same tube that has the same specs as the link?
I appreciate your help.
Follow Ups:
The Ei plant in Yugoslavia went through a lot of changes in the late '80s and thru the '90s.
IIRC, they had some old Telefunken tooling when the facility was started, and they produced great tubes for many years. As the country started to change after Tito's death in 1980, there was a renewed interest in the plant's output. There were also a number of Designers who went to the plant to get a NEW tube - which ended up being the KT-90. This tube had the Top-evacuation tip that most octal based tubes had on the bottom, and hidden in the key of the base.
I do remember getting a lot of tubes (different types) that we then tested, from the Ei plant in the late '80s along with the KT-90, and all except the KT-90 tested well within the specs. This was at RAM Tube Works, Roger Modjeskie's company where we used the RCA, GE and Sylvania specs as the rule-book.
The 6L6-GC is a nice tube - but for modest power a pair ~ 30 wpc, and the circuit is well defined - from Heathkit, McIntosh, Leak, Quad and others - all with slight variations based on each manufacturers' choices and preferences.
Your examples may well be NOS from an earlier run out of that plant-
Some here in the asylum can get into the minutia of date codes and factory codes - nothing I ever got deep into. Use the search function in the tubes or DIY forum - you could be supprissed at what you find -
Happy Listening
Thanks for all the history info about the Ei factory! Very helpful details. I will do the searches you recommend and see what comes up. It will be interesting to see if there is more info about this tube.
Again, I really appreciate all you help!
