Another reminder of the boxes of tubes I need to sort through and reduce.
Clean!
"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" -Michael McClure
It makes one appreciate how diverse and ubiquitous tubes were in modern life. Audio amplification is just a tiny part of the uses of tubes. I search for the types of tubes I run in my gear, and none were listed. This just shows how many more types are out there than this vast collection covers. Specifically, they did not have the following that I run:
348, 349, 310 and ECC803S (they had the close equivalent ECC83).
What does a crack pipe have to do with tubes? Makes no sense.
Bongs.

I think the OP is suggesting that we are addicts salivating over the next fix of tubes. That is okay with me. I actually do not change out ANY of my tubes--I have run the same set of these tubes for more than 15 years, and the 348 and 349 tubes were of undeterminable age/use (simply tested strong). The Telefunken ECC803S tubes came in their original boxes--the boxes looked so clean and new I was a bit worried, that is, until I tried to open the box. The boxes were so old the end flaps crumbled from my effort to open them.
I have a large collection of this magazine. It takes me an hour and a half to browse through an issue. Having access to those I don't have is great.
They can be downloaded.
Check it out. They're 80% ads, which makes it fun going through. Very entertaining. I've spent many many hours with these.

the collector obviously does not live near a fault -
or is unaware if they do...
Quite a collection!
Happy Listening
Thank you. Just wasted the last 20 min gawking at tube pics from the site. Going back later for more tube porn.
Outstanding.
You can use the Index on the left sidebar to get individual pictures and names. I especially liked the emitter, receiving, and rectifier lists under "Vacuum Tubes".
