I have a chance to buy a quad of good used Realistic 7591A tubes at an okay price, but I know nothing about the Realistic brand of 7591s. I know Radio Shack did not make their own tubes, and I don't know who made their 7591s or if they are any good. The guy selling them said the construction looks identical to Westinghouse 7591s. Note: Three of the Realistic tubes are marked USA and one is marked Japan, but, from what I've heard, 7591 tubes were not made in Japan during that period.
Does anyone know anything about Realistic 7591A tubes (sound quality or actual manufacturer) or have any experience with them? Thanks.

Follow Ups:
I don't have access to them and I'm not sure I can get good photos of them from the seller that would help identify the mfr. They are standard octal base, not coin base.

I would be hesitant to buy them if they're not a matched quad. They would need to be very inexpensive.
They are a matched quad.

Three marked USA and one marked Japan does not constitute a matched quad.
They look identical and test nearly the same. Only the markings are different.

That doesn't make sense. Tubes made in Japan don't look like tubes made in USA. Hope this works out OK for you.
I've seen Realistic tubes labeled "Made in England" that were clearly not.
I know they don't look the same. I think the tubes are mislabeled regarding country of manufacture. However, I decided not to buy them. Thanks for the input.

Pictures would help.
