Odd results of using the EC803S JJ tube. .

after I put it into the circuit, one for each channel, the gain substantially dropped from what other 12AX7s have. I thought at first something was wrong with my amp but no, other tubes are fine. It is more like a gain of a 12AU7 tube. Not sure why.

Where did you purchase them?

    That is odd.
    I've been using them for years in a Dynaco pas. If anything, they are a bit fuller sounding than a regular 12AX7.

Something is not right. The specs read like a 12ax7 to me.
