nice! I love eimac tubes they are my favorites. I see you have some 7193's
down below is that a preamp?
Cal
Yup,a preamp utilizing #76s feeding 2C22s (7193). B+ regulated by the gas VR tubes. Best sounding to my ears as compared with a number of preamps including a Cary SLP-98. has switchable B+ depending on the VR tubes. I like the look of the OA3 compared with the OC3s is why I'm running the lower B+.

Nice!!
801A
I have several 801A tubes. everytime I start looking into building a new amp I consider using them but haven't yet. Maybe someday I'll get around to trying them.
Cal
Push pull stereo HY69 amplifier and it's power supply. The HY69 is a directly heated pentode, here triode connected.
Type HY51A is another. There is a 10V 'B' version too... :)
65W, graphite plate in an 866 ST bottle.

Friend, I would not hurt thee for the world...but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.

Could you post a photo of the underside of the PCB to show how the socket is connected to the terminals?
What kind of tube is it?
ray
Here is the underside of the pcb. I got these on ebay a few years ago but they would be easy enough to make with just a few parts.
Cal
Thankyou.
ray
Hey Ray
The tube is a GU-4 transmitting triode made in Russia for the military.
It has a standard 4 pin base but only has 3 pins.
I have never seen one before I ran across it purly by accident on ebay.
