Both differential amps ( the driver stage and the output stage) will be more "balanced" if you don't use the cathode bypass capacitors.
With the capacitors omitted there will be some local current feedback that will help force balanced operation.
This only works if the tubes are biased for Class A operation.

Thanks! I doubt I can get the output stage in class A, my voltage is likely on the high side for that.
I remember that much, but it's been quite a while, I can't recall how to figure the operating point class A. I find the definition over and over again when I google, but no practical approach for the layman like me.
Back for a bit again. Ignore me if you like.
