I've found them before, but I can't remember what they're called.. I want to have an adaptor to put with speaker screw terminals so they can take banana plugs. Anyone have a link to Parts Connection or Digikey, etc?
Thanks!
Follow Ups:
I recently replaced the screw terminals in my ST-70 with a more modern set. In the process I gave up the 16ohm tap, but I've only ever used the 8ohm anyway. I got them from Dynakit Parts and they are a drop in replacement for the old screw terminal so if you have an ST-70 you'll be good.
Hi Zacster, I think screw down terminals are the best. A few years ago at an annual Mackeral tournament my buddy created in Casco Bay,off Portland Maine his 20 foot boat with 6 of us would not restart. We were between the open sea and the back side of Cushing Island. The waves were big and pushing us closer to the rocks. The boat owner started waving his arms as a known distress signal to a boat too far away. One friend of ours was an electrition jumped on the battery, presumed dead, and tightened down hard on the terminals which were presumed taught. The boat fired up and we didn't get smashed up. Since the terminals were soft lead more surface area was abutted together with the tightening. I thought about this later in an audio sense..If gold is a soft metal, and it is, a better connection of metal against metal was made improving the flow of electrons. The pressure of the tightening improved the connection enabling us to restart the boat and escape unscathed..I have a ST70 that has screw down terminals.I looked at a picture of gold plating from a microscope and the gold surface looks bumpy, not perfectly flat.I figured when Jimmy Jack, the tightener had made a better connection with pressure. This is why I like screw down jacks. You get a better connection, second behind soldering.!a better electron flow. My old high school teacher said, Gentlemen,,keep your connections clean, bright and tight..It also follows the strait wire with gain theory a lot of audiophiles go by.Less stuff messing in the way of the signal is better.Take care Zacster....Mark Korda
Is this what you are looking for

There are others- I recall an angled set, that fits into the terminal block for the screw part and has a female banana connection- But I can find the reference (try searching the forums)
I did search in Vintage, and found a Pomona Product, available at DigiKey - see link below
