  'Eastern Europe' is anywhere east of where you live.
  
  That's a joke, and to get said joke you have to have lived in 'Central Europe' some time after the wall came down.
  
  Back a few years ago the KT-88 made in the TESLA plants somewhere in the Czech Republic were great. Now that gear to make KT-88 was sold to either (or both) KR and JJ.

    The latest JJ KT-88 is becoming very popular among
    the guitar-amp guys.
    
    I'm going to try some-- that way I won't have to

      I got a great deal on a quad of 2a3s that you tested and passed on.
      
      When I listened to them your assessment was correct- the JJ is better. :)
