But if they're at least as expensive as your vinyl reissues, I'm out. I'm not saying that the vinyl isn't worth it, I just can't afford that. If they're 7.5 ips and standard equalization, I'd at least be pretty damn interested.
Follow Ups:
I can't afford the 2 Track 15-IPS Reels at $329! ($200 by subscription). The max price I pay for an LP BTW is $28, the lower the better. Unlike Jack I would never pay $100 or more for a single LP! I make $8.54 an hour! I am willing to work 4 hours for a single new recording but not an entire week!
I have heard 2 Track 15 IPS Master tape copies from Merlin Fidelity + and Vox and they are definitely more realistic, no consumer format can even come close! But if you never heard a Sound Ideas, Sonar, Ambisonic or Direct to Tape Recording Company real time duplicated 4 Track 7 1/2-IPS Reel to Reel you have not heard how realistic 7 1/2 IPS can sound. 7 1/2 IPS done right is world's better than the best audiophile LPs.
I vote 7 1/2 IPS as every Reel to Reel owner can play these!

... so the cost per recorded reel will be much more than an audiophile LP.
BTW, it is not my comapny. It is Ron Rambach's. I'm just trying to see if there is interest, so hopefully we have more analog tape sources ... and directly from the masters.
If you've ever heard a 15 or 30 IPS master on a decent open reel deck, you'd soon forget about any other format.
I've paid over $1000 for a NM Blue Note LP ... several hundred for a second or third generation open reel tape would not scare me. Not in the least.
But I'm just a broke audiophile! Oh well...
