Do you need to register to bid?
Follow Ups:
Yes, I believe registration is a requirement.
There's a button in the upper right - "Get Approved to Bid".
Welcome, and happy winning.
Had visitors and forgot... no big deal, it was just for a decoration, but the price was low.
Only thing in the auction that had my interest was that Sencore Mu140 tube tester. I already have an Mu150, so I have less than no need for another. My compulsion to always have spares on hand is strong, but I fought it off ... this time. I hope that Mu140 went to a good home.
I hope they notify me next time. Do they charge reasonable shipping?
I couldn't say about shipping. I'm close enough to make it by car for pickups.
Although I never got the impression that they were in business to make their money on shipping. Certainly they'll expect to be compensated for their effort and materials, but you'd need to contact the auction company to know for sure.
Don't get too spoiled on the numbers of R2R that've come up lately. I've watched their auctions for a few years and I've never seen this many popup in such a short time. The owner of the auction is also a long time member and officer of the local antique radio society, and he tends to draw clients looking to sell collections that come from that radio background.
