I sent an email to this guy about my deck. He declined to service it due to it MAY having to many parts to be replaced to be reliable. I get it, just wish he would have taken a look at it before rushing to judgement.

So For my Luxman K03 and Most Nakamichi decks he said he discontinued service on these decks due to the parts issues. So I wouldn't bother with contacting him for service.

Sorry! I thought he was still servicing tape decks. I agree, he could have at least looked at it first.

Willy Hermann is the world renown Nakamichi service guy. Maybe he does other units or could recommend someone?

  I already fixed one of the issues I was having with my deck. The meters were barely moving, but that trick I posted worked and they are back to normal.
  
  I'm just waiting on the little square drive belt to install it. I will deoxit all the switches and have ordered the head cleaner from American Recorder. I already have the main drive belt for the main drive. Once all this is done I hope the recording and erase issue are gone.
