Hello- Does anyone won a Teac 40-4 that could help me with hooking up a external mixer. In am not going to use the DX 4, I want to bypass it. thank you.

I have used them in the past (as well as 3440, 25-2, 80-8, etc)

I don't understand your post ... looks like English is not your first language.

The 40-4 is just a multitrack 4-channel open reel machine. The 4 tape outputs go into the 4 channels of a mixer, line level. If I understand you correctly, that is what you want to do.

With that setup it would be playback only, reading 4-track tapes.
