We used a higher end JVC at church for a while, very good sounding tape deck.
I have some blanks, how many do you want, mostly 70 us, high or some metal.
I own a Nak 682ZX, sounds great too, but a little blunted in the high end but I don't listen or tape much with metal anymore. I am trying to wean out my pre recorded tapes now, but always run out of time.
Follow Ups:
thanks for the offer, I have some blanks laying around, I am good for now.
I remember the Maxxell metal ones sounding good, there seems to be one company still making blanks as well, Maxxell bricks of blanks on Amazon seems pretty cheap.
They sound very good, for cassette, but they lose their high end rather quickly.
and on top of that, they're quite expensive to boot. The best all-around cassette tapes that I used is the TDK SA variety as the sound quality don't suffer much after many years of use for as long as you don't abuse it.
As the matter of fact, I was using one of them to records some of my favorite jazz music yesterday. The result was quite impressive considering that it has been sitting alone in the dark collecting dust for almost 20 years.
