Who knew?
Follow Ups:
C. King has given this tape one of his rare A+ sonic ratings, and I completely agree. It's stunning.
... if I had ever heard of "C. King"
And I've been into open reel tape forever.
Dave,I'm sure you know him as Stellavox.
Charles King is a member of this group. His comprehensive list of 2-track tapes, compiled with the help of several reel collectors, is somewhere in the Files section of the Yahoo reeltoreel list. A link to the Excel file is provided below.
Though a site member, I couldn't crack the code to access Charles King's list, but Michael Kaplan stepped in and helped me download it. Fascinating stuff.
I would like to become a member of the Yahoo RTR group.
I went to the URL, but I see no way of applying. can someone help?

yahoo is somewhat of a mess. you will need a yahoo id, then go through the "join" process.
I've been a member of that group for years. Must have missed it. Mea culpa.
i forgot to mention the File name in Excel format. once you get to the Files section of the site, scroll down to the following File:
Tapeind03.xls
There have been at least 3 updates to the list that I have on my computer. The newest is Tapeind15.xls. I've taken over the updating of the list from Charles King. Anyone who wants the list can email me through Audio Asylum and I will send it. There are new updates, so I should change the name to tapeind17.xls. I'll post the newest version on Yahoo in a month or two. I'm still trying to track down several new tapes. I did attach the 2015 version to a post on the reeltoreel group. I had a lot of trouble. I don't remember if I put it in the archive.
Charles originally sold the list. That how I first got it. He decided to put it on Yahoo groups to make it available to everyone. I keep the older versions as references to any changes I make.
... navigating that Yahoo site is even more frustrating than I had remembered, especially for a computer-illiterate Mac user :-)
