I have the 2-track and 4-track versions of this classic, and they both sound terrific. (I generally listen to the early-duplicated 4-track version for convenience: I don't have to rewind before playing.) They are a little labor-intensive to listen to, but I came up with a compromise. I keep the first reel wound tails-out, but not the second reel. That way, when I'm listening to it, I don't have to stop in the middle to rewind. You rewind the first reel before you start, and the second reel after you're done. I have that Sound of Music set, and I love it. Merry Christmas all!
