What's the best way to post links so they appear in blue, ready to be immediately accessed with a single click?

I've done this elsewhere by simply typing www.(whatever).com, or copying and pasting an address line, but it doesn't seem to be working for me here in that way (at least not recently).

I could be making some simple mistake, that could easily be rectified.

Hey, I check now and then. I need to put this page on auto-notify.
The easiest was is to post the link in the Optional Link URL box. Copy and paste from your browser is the best. If you type the url, it must start with http:// before you add the www.whatever.com
