You posted this here in the computer forum and in the high efficiency speaker forum
You missed the rule about double posting and missed the common sense fact that this belongs in neither one
You also missed the fact that AA isn't the Audiogon support forum. Did you ask Audiogon?
.
Not sure what happened to the wanted section. It is not on current page. I guess people are posting wanted in the buy section and putting wanted in the 'top line'
What were they thinking?
Nope, they trashed it. I don't even bother surfing there anymore. It's highly unlikely that I will sell anything there anymore. that's quite a shame, I have been buying and selling there since 1999. when they first made the change they were asking for comments on their blog. I was all too happy to express my feelings about the new look. I will check back there from time to time to see if they came to their senses and reverted to the old format. until then I suppose I will just use a AA and craigslist.
I suppose in the long run it may be better, but it will take some time to get used to the new system. From what I read in the Help section, ads are listed for 30 days (can't remember how long the old system allowed listings to last) and then they're removed (the listing is saved for you in your account for the ease of relisting the item). If it sells, a lister can go into their account and mark the item as sold. If the lister doesn't mark it as sold, it looks as though there's no way to tell the status of the item -- especially if the item sells on the last day.
Below is a direct link to the Help section just in case I'm not understanding something, but when you're on the main Audiogon page Help is located at the top right of the screen:
