in my Mac with Firefox 3.6 installed AA is very hesitant and sluggish. I deleted Flash player and it works without a hitch. Hope that helps/

  I really don't know if that helped. We don't do any flash.
  
  I suspect that the tuning that I've been doing has affected performance both ways. Restarting the server doesn't help and makes it sluggish. This one had problems generating errors over weird stuff that wasn't a problem and filling error logs. I've gotten that resolved today, I think, so I plan to just let it run. We'll know in a few days if it's stable.
  
  But there are a few things that are still not to my liking and need improvement.

    Google I think. After a delay of several seconds loading a page, I noticed in the activity bar that pagead2.google.whatever was loading (URL is from memory). I then got a pop-up notice that a script (there was something in there about a movie) was making Flash run more slowly than usual. I selected to end the script, then the page loaded immediately.
    
    So probably there's a particular animated ad that's clogging things up.

    you are to be commended for you effort and skills set. Maybe the old flash was simply not playing well with the new Firefox...
