Stupid format!

I have been a member of this forum for about 20 years, and now I am required to recognize some stupid, fuzzy set of numbers and letters, or provide a password, to post a reply. What's with that?!

If you login you don't need to deal with the fuzzy test or type in a password. However logging in requires a session cookie (or a forever cookie if you click on the "Remember Me" box or if the "Use Cookies" option is checked in your user profile.)
So you have the choice:
1) Login once with "Use Cookies" selected or Post once with the "Remember Me" box checked.
2) Login or post once per session with a password
3) Type a password for each message
4) Type the fuzzy recognition stuff
We had too many people using spam programs to automatically post crap (or worse.)
Sorry for the inconvenience, but if the cookies bother you you can avoid the settings listed above that cause a permanent cookie or you can explicitly use the "Eat Me" or "Logout" links to clear the Asylum cookies when you are done for the day.
