Funny how so many speakers look almost identical to Charlie Hanson's (RIP, so dearly missed) original Avalon Acoustics design. Maybe he (and now Neil Patel) were on to something there. Still dying for a pair of Eidelons.

I am a planar speaker guy, but the one time I heard a pair of Avalon Eidolons I flatly fell in love with them. Best box speaker I've ever heard, bar none.

  I have the little babies of the old lineup, The Symbol. It gives me most of what the Eclipse offered, I had the opportunity at the dealer to trade up and couldn't justify the cost, more bass, but I'm not a basshead. Guess that's why they stopped making them.
  
  IF (a big if) I can get my health straightened out I still want to try Quads. We'll see how that goes. I don't want to saddle my wife and children with any more audio toys if I can't enjoy them.
